"Standard" and medical mask standard realize mutual connection

Children's mask is an important product to protect children's health and safety during the epidemic or in the air pollution environment. The standard requires that the bacterial filtration efficiency of children's health masks should be ≥ 95%. The technical index comes from the current compulsory medical industry standard YY 0469 "medical surgical mask" on bacterial filtration efficiency, which is also the index adopted by type I in European Union standard en14683 and American Standard ASTM f2100, and the same index as medical mask is adopted in the formulation of bacterial filtration efficiency index in children's health mask.

The test method of this project is carried out according to the test method in Appendix B of YY 0469. In this test method, the filtration effect of respirator on bacteria was verified by examining the barrier ability of respirator to Staphylococcus aureus aerosol with particle size of about 3 μ M. This method can effectively verify the barrier ability of children's health masks to saliva, droplets and large particles from the mouth and nose, ensure the basic safety of children's daily wearing process, and reduce the infection of common pathogens.

In order to meet the requirements of hygiene, the process of disinfection and sterilization is often used in the production process of enterprises, among which ethylene oxide is a typical and economical way. China's current compulsory national standards GB 19083 technical requirements for medical protective masks, YY 0469 medical surgical masks and other standards for medical masks put forward sterilization requirements for masks, and the ethylene oxide residue is required to be no more than 10 μ g / g. In terms of foreign standards, Japan is also no more than 10 μ g / g, and the United States has different regulations based on the use position of medical devices.

From the perspective of children's health and safety, children's masks need to be sterilized according to medical masks, so as to avoid the potential risk of bacterial pollution caused by insufficient cleanliness in the production process. GB / T 38880-2020, on the one hand, meets the sterilization requirements of medical mask standards, on the other hand, greatly improves the requirements of ethylene oxide residue limit, which is no more than 2 μ g / g. The test method of this project is clearly specified in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the chemical test method for medical infusion and transfusion injection equipment GB / T 14233.1-2008, i.e. gas chromatography is used for determination. The method has high sensitivity, good repeatability and low detection limit.

During the use of the mask, the product fits on the nose and face. The filtered air directly enters the respiratory tract through the mask. The area between the face and the mask belongs to a humid and airtight environment. Therefore, if there are too many pathogenic microorganisms on the inner surface of the product which may cause facial skin infection and respiratory tract infection, it must be controlled. According to the provisions of GB 15979-2001 hygienic standard for disposable sanitary products, the code clearly requires that pathogenic bacteria in children's masks shall not be detected and bacteria and fungi shall not exceed the standard.
