According to the structure of fishing net wire, it can be divided into three categories: monofilament, twirling and knitting

Monofilament

Monofilament refers to a single filament with a diameter of 0.1-1.5mm. For example, nylon monofilament is mostly suitable for fishing tackle and netting gillnet.

(a) Single twist: 1. Fiber; 2. Single yarn; 3. Single yarn

(b) Double twist: 1. Fiber; 2. Single yarn (Z or S twist); 3. Single twist (s or Z twist)

(c) 8-strand core knitting (each strand is parallel to each other): 1. Core (2 single yarns); 2. Strand (3 single yarns)

(d) 8 strands of braided wire (1 strand is threaded and 1 strand is pressed, XX is the pitch length formed by 4 knuckles)

(e) 16 strands of braided wire (2 strands are threaded and 2 strands are pressed, XX is the pitch length formed by 8 knots)

Twist

Twisting refers to the twisting of 2, 3 or 4 strands of wire. And there are single twist, double twist and compound twist. For example, the single yarn in the single twist, the single twist in the double twist, the double twist in the compound twist and so on. Its single twist is also called single thread. If several single yarns or filaments are combined together, the product is formed through one twisting. Therefore, it is easy to untwist and less used in fishery. And the double twisting thread is also known as the double twisting thread. It is mainly a product that several single yarns or filaments are combined and twisted into strands, and then several strands (generally 3 strands) are twisted in the opposite direction. Therefore, it can be used as the main line of all kinds of fishing gear. The compound twist is a product of twisting several (3 or 4) compound twist threads with opposite bias.

Braiding

The braided wire is mainly composed of a number of even strands (such as 6, 8, 12, 16 strands), pairs or single and double strands, which are interleaved or braided with each other. Therefore, the core braided wire in the center of the braided wire is the core braided wire, and the wireless core braided wire is the coreless braided wire.
