The Institution of Textile Engineers & Technologists (ITET) Bangladesh is the oldest and most influential textile professionals’ organization in Bangladesh. The institution is having more than 3000 members working in many pivotal positions in the textile sector and is leading the industry towards continuous growth.

Recently the organization has celebrated the inauguration of a new office on 26 January at Uttara in the capital. The new office address of ITET is House-6, Road-2, Sector-12, Uttara, Dhaka 1230. Previously on 17 October 2017, Government promised to give a piece of land for ITET own building within one month. As per the ITET officials, the organization is in the process of getting permanent land for its own building from the government. However, the new offices in Uttara will serve as a regular meeting and idea sharing place for the textile professionals in the country.

ITET President Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman; Senior Vice President Engr. Md. Salim Reza; Secretary General Engr. Shakhawat Hossain Talukder; ITET former President Engr. Md. Shamuzzaman CIP were present at the opening ceremony.

After being elected uncontested last year, the 14th central executive committee has taken the initiative to open a rightly equipped and facilitated headquarters for its regular operations and engineers’ regular gathering. ITET members expected that the new office will accelerate ITET activities further.
