As the price of textile raw materials increases, the price of sewing thread, especially high-grade sewing thread, is also rising. But at present, most of the methods used by garment enterprises to calculate the amount of sewing thread are based on production experience. Most enterprises tend to oversupply the sewing thread and open up the supply, without realizing the value of sewing thread management.
Calculation of sewing thread consumption!
1、 Calculation method of sewing thread consumption
The amount of sewing thread is calculated by the commonly used estimation method of enterprises, that is, the length of seam trace is measured by CAD software, and the total length is multiplied by a coefficient (generally 2.5-3 times of the total length of the stitch).
The suture consumption of a garment is the sum of the suture consumption of all parts of the garment × (1 + wear rate).
There are two scientific methods to calculate the amount of sewing thread
1. Formula method
In the calculation of the length of the loop, the method of calculating the length of the loop is based on the principle of the geometry of the loop.
By calculating the length of a stitch coil (including the length of stitch coil + the amount of thread used at the intersection of stitches), it is converted into the amount of stitches per meter of stitches, and then multiplied by the overall length of garment stitches.
The formula method integrates the factors such as stitch density, thickness of sewing material, yarn count used, slit width and needle pitch, etc., so the formula method is a more accurate method, but it is relatively complicated to use. There are great differences in the specifications, styles, sewing process, thickness of fabric (blank cloth), number of stitches, stitch density, etc., which brings too much for calculation Inconvenient, so enterprises basically do not use it.
2. Stitch length ratio
The stitch to thread ratio is the ratio of the length of the stitches to the length of the consumed stitches. The ratio can be determined according to actual production or calculated by formula method. There are two kinds of testing methods: suture fixed length method and seam fixed length method.
Sewing length fixing method: before sewing, measure a certain length of stitches on the Pagoda line and make color marks. After sewing, the number of stitches formed by this length is measured, so as to calculate the thread consumption per meter of long stitches.
Stitch length determination method: first, sew with different thickness of sewing materials, and then cut the section with better seam shape, and carefully disassemble the suture, measure its length or weight, so as to convert the amount of thread used (length or weight) per meter of seam length.
