The loose edge of satin fabric refers to the slack fabric on both sides when weaving polyester FDY (especially large silk) satin fabric on a water jet loom. (1) How did loose edges come about? There are several reasons for this.

① Improper selection of side organization and number of wear. There are too many intertwined points in the side tissue. Although it will not loosen the edge, the warp phenomenon at the junction between the side warp of the nozzle and the side tissue is very easy to occur. Therefore, many manufacturers prefer to choose the side organization with fewer interlacing points, but due to the difference in weaving shrinkage of the two types of organization at the side, loose edges will occur after a certain weaving length. Improper selection of the number of side teeth penetration can also cause loose edges.

② The echinoderm on both sides of each coiled part of the coiled part is worn. Because the weaving shaft width gradually shrinks to the width of the cloth shaft during the operation of the loom, the tension on both sides of the cloth is greater than the middle portion, and the abrasion of the echinoderm is relatively large. The echinoderm of the part causes the phenomenon that the grey fabric on both sides is loose.

③ The warp yarns on both sides of the weaving shaft hide the tendency to relax. During the preparation of the weaving shaft, from the warping creel to the warping shaft, from the warping shaft to the pulp shaft, and then from the pulp shaft to the weaving shaft, the width of the warp piece is always It is changing, so the degree of repeated stretching of the warp threads on both sides is higher than that of the middle part, and the tendency of its retraction is weaker than that of the middle part, so it is easier to produce relaxation when it is unwound on the loom. .

(2) The following measures can be taken to solve loose edges.

① Reasonably select the number of side tissues and side teeth penetration. It is recommended to use a variable re-leveling structure. The number of weft cycles must be determined after repeated tests on the loom, which can generally reach 20-40. It is also possible to use a method of increasing the number of penetrations without additional organization, but this product is often not welcomed by customers.

② Regularly check the condition of the echinoderm roller, if it is found to be worn (especially on both sides), degumming, etc., it should be replaced or repaired in time.

③ During the preparation of the weaving shaft, as much as possible, the consistency of the tension of the side yarns and the tension of the warp yarns in the middle part is ensured, the difference in the width of the warp sheet width is reduced, and the various angles of the side yarns are alleviated. For example, if a yarn collecting board is added between the warping bobbin frame and the fixed width reed, the silk pieces are evenly divided in the first fixed width reed during the sizing process, so as to ease the stretching of the warp as much as possible.

④ Reasonable adjustment of the loom process to avoid the impact of the water beam on the side warp. In addition, the total tension of the warp threads should not be too large, and the height of the back beam can be appropriately reduced, which can also ease the loose edge condition.
