Improve the rubbing fastness of textiles

Rubbing fastness is one of the important color fastness indexes of textiles, and refers to the degree of rubbing resistance of dyed or printed fabrics. There are two types of rubbing fastness: dry rubbing and wet rubbing. X12, GB / T 3920, etc.

"ISO, AATCC, GB, JIS, the difference between rubbing fastness test standards"

1. How to improve the rubbing fastness?

1. Pre-treatment should be sufficient:

Good pre-treatment is half of successful dyeing. Good pre-treatment helps the dye to bind to the fiber. Insufficient pre-treatment will cause the dye to float on the surface of the fiber, resulting in reduced friction fastness. For pre-treatment, please refer to this article: Factors Affecting the Success Rate of Dyeing-Pre-treatment

2. Reasonable choice of dye:

Different dyes have different directness and fixation rate. The higher the directness and the lower the fixation rate, the worse the rubbing fastness after dyeing. Choosing a dye with moderate directness and high fixation rate helps to improve the dyed object. Rubbing fastness.

3. Improvement of soaping and post-treatment:

For dyes that are not fixed and float on the surface of the fiber, proper soaping and post-treatment washing can effectively improve the rubbing fastness of the dyed object. For example, peroxide soaping of reactive dyes will improve the rubbing fastness. The toner improves the rubbing fastness of the dyed object, but if the soaping is not sufficient, the cationic fixing agent treatment will cause the rubbing fastness to decrease.

4. Improvement of cloth finish:

For cotton grey cloths, choose grey cloths with even yarn counts and a smooth surface. Starting from improving the characteristics of the fabric after dyeing, finishing the fabric and polishing with biological enzymes, etc., the fabric finish is increased, thereby improving its wet rubbing fastness.

5. Use of friction fastness enhancer:

In addition to the above, the use of a good rubbing fastness enhancer can greatly improve the dry and wet fastness of the fabric. The rubbing fastness improver is generally a resin-based finishing agent, which improves the rubbing fastness of the fabric through the cross-linking reaction of the resin. Degree, friction fastness enhancer need to pay attention to the impact of hand feel, shade, sun and other fastness and environmental performance when selecting. The following editor recommends a good performance friction fastness enhancer.

Second, friction fastness improver A-6

Friction fastness enhancer A-6 is a cationic polymer compound, which can significantly improve the dry and wet friction fastness of the fiber. It is suitable for reactive dyes, direct dyes, indigo denim, vulcanized denim and paint printing fabrics. The product does not contain APEO, does not affect the fabric feel, high temperature resistance, wash resistance.

Abrasion fastness improver A-6 has a wide range of applications, and can be used to improve the wet and dry friction fastness of indigo, vulcanization, reactive, direct dyes and paint printing fabric products.

Can improve the wet rubbing fastness of the fabric by 1 ~ 2 grade, and the dry rubbing rubbing fastness of 2 ~ 2.5 grade.

Has a good effect of enhancing the colors of turquoise blue and navy blue.

Does not affect the shade and fastness of the fabric.

Does not affect the texture of the fabric.

Does not contain formaldehyde and APEO, in line with EU REACH regulations.

【Recommended process for knitted fabrics】
