Main causes of entanglement of drawing rubber roller

In the production process, due to the differences in factors such as region, climate, raw materials, and process parameters, the problem of entanglement of rubber rollers is widespread, which makes life difficult and the impact on product quality is self-evident. At present, almost every cotton textile enterprise is plagued by this problem to varying degrees. At the same time, it is actively seeking the best way to control the entanglement of rubber rollers. So, what are the reasons for the entanglement of the draw roller?


Electrostatic adsorption


Any two objects that come into contact with each other will generate static electricity after separation, and the electrostatic charge will be distributed on the outer surface of the object. Friction can be seen as a phenomenon of constant contact and separation, so the phenomenon of friction and electrification can be seen everywhere in life. During the drafting process, slow or planktonic fibers are gradually transformed into fast fibers, and friction will occur between the fibers. Generally speaking, the same materials contact each other will not cause charge redistribution, but the fast fibers are in contact with the rubber roller, so the fast fibers and the front rubber roller must be considered as a whole. As a result, static electricity is generated.


At the same time, the rubber roller and the fiber are constantly in contact and then separated, which is another cause of static electricity. Assuming that the surface of the rubber roller has accumulated enough electric charge, when the next fiber reaches the jaw, it will be easily absorbed by the rubber roller on its surface. Initially it was just a few, then more and more attached, and eventually entangled.


Cotton Wool Wax Adhesion


The natural cotton fiber itself contains cotton fat and cotton wax, which will inevitably be transferred to the rubber roller during the drafting process. If the replacement and maintenance work is not done well, you will see a layer of milky white cotton fat and cotton wax on the surface, which is difficult to remove, especially the black rubber roller. Of course, the cotton fat cotton wax in this form will not adhere to the fibers, but the front rubber roller speed is relatively high, it will heat up after a period of time, and the temperature will rise. The fibers are likely to stick to the surface of the rubber roller.


Embedded


Sometimes there are cracks on the surface of the rubber roller. These cracks are not always visible to the naked eye. The coating on the rubber roller is similar to the warp yarn sizing principle. At present, the types of coatings on the market are mainly divided into coating type and penetration type. The coating type coating forms a film on the surface of the rubber roller after drying. In the drafting process, in order to ensure sufficient drafting force, it is necessary to apply huge pressure to the drawing rubber roller to form a friction boundary. Compression deformation and rotation and huge drafting force put together a test on the surface of the rubber roller. The surface of the rubber roller is easy to crack, sometimes it is the crack of paint coating, and sometimes even the colloid appears crack due to aging.


Under the action of drafting force, the crack is enlarged as much as possible, and the fiber enters into the virtual space. When the crack turns over the friction boundary, the crack is tightened, and the fiber is tightly embedded in it. This phenomenon can be distinguished without using a magnifying glass. After the winding rubber roller is simply cleaned, rows of white fibers can be seen along the lines, and the cracks are uniform.


Of course, just recognizing these aspects is not enough. The cleanliness of the workshop is not good. If there is a knife injury on the surface of the rubber roller, it will also hang flowers and entangle. The blockage of the cotton suction device will also affect the entanglement to varying degrees. When discovering a problem, you must first understand the nature of the problem, and then find out the cause before you can prescribe the right medicine.
