From solving the problem of outer protective materials of extravehicular spacesuits to developing and designing special clothes for astronauts, the scientific research team of Donghua University participated in the design of each generation of spacesuits. For example, at the beginning of this century, the joint research group composed of nine disciplines of Donghua University solved the bottleneck problem of extravehicular spacesuit manufacturing technology - extravehicular spacesuit coating. This coating is compared to armor by experts of the R & D team. It is softer than leather, thinner than lens and lighter than mobile phone, but it can protect the safety of astronauts during spacewalk like armor. Of course, this core technology does not have any information and material objects for reference. However, with the full support of the Shanghai municipal government and the Ministry of education, the R & D team has completed Masterpieces: high-tech materials with chemical corrosion resistance, wear resistance, tear resistance, thermal radiation resistance, micro meteor resistance, ion radiation resistance and other properties, and achieved new breakthroughs in high temperature resistance and radiation resistance; Soon put into space combat.
