Vortex spinning is a new spinning method that uses a fixed vortex spinning tube instead of a high-speed spinning cup for spinning.
In a sense, vortex spinning is air spinning in the true sense. The fiber strip is fed by the cotton rollers, and is loosened into single fibers through the licker-in roller. The fiber is fed into the vortex tube at a high speed by the air flow. The vortex tube is composed of a core tube and an outer tube. The outer tube is provided with three tangential air inlets, and the lower end is connected to a blower. The fan continuously extracts air from the tube, and the outside air enters the vortex tube along the air inlet, generating a swirling airflow. When the rotating upward airflow reaches the core tube, it merges with the fibers entering the cotton conveying pipe, forms a condensed fiber ring along the inner wall of the vortex tube, stably rotates around the axis of the vortex tube at high speed, and twists the fibers into yarn. The yarn is continuously wound from the yarn guide hole into the package by the pull-out roller.
The most important feature of eddy current spinning is the elimination of high-speed spinning components. Due to the use of air-flow twisting, the problem of rotational inertia and bearing load caused by high-speed twisting components is eliminated (such as rotors for air-jet spinning), and the problem of increased spinning tension due to the balloon formed by spinning (such as Ring spinning). Compared with other new spinning methods, eddy current spinning has several advantages:
1 fast and high output
The spinning speed of the eddy current spinning machine is 100-200m / min, and the practical speed is generally 100-160m / min. The vortex spinning machine in China spins 6-12 inch yarns with a spinning speed of 100-140 m / min and a yield of 600-800 (kg / 1000 spindles · h), which is equivalent to 4-5 times that of ring yarns; Acrylic yarn is counted, using 10 (192 heads / sets) PF-1 vortex spinning machine, the output is up to 400 kg / h. It is equivalent to the output of 20 (4000 heads) BD-200 pneumatic spinning machines, and the output of 40 ring spinning machines with 16,320 spindles. The output of one vortex spinning head is equivalent to the output of 2.08 jet spinning heads or 8.5 ring spindles.
2 Short process flow and high production rate
Vortex spinning is made from fiber sliver directly into package yarn, so like other new spinning methods, the two processes of roving and winding can be omitted. Due to the very low end break rate of eddy current spinning, the return loss is small, and the production rate is as high as 99% or more.
3 Strong spinnability, suitable for raising products
Vortex spinning can produce 38_60_ long fiber, pure and blended cotton and chemical fiber. The yarn structure is relatively bulky, so its dyeability, pulp absorption, and air permeability are better, and the pilling resistance and abrasion resistance of the yarn are also better. Yarn count range is limited to medium and low count yarns, and should be used for raising products. Such as 38_ long chemical fiber (acrylic, chloroacrylic, viscose, etc.), spinning 6_12 British count yarn, knitted into fleece, fleece pants, scarf, cushion, sofa, furniture cloth and small tablecloth and other knitted fleece products .
4 Simple operation and convenient connection
Vortex spinning uses vortex tube to form yarn. Because the vortex tube is stationary and there are no high-speed rotating parts, the joint is very convenient and simple. No cleaning is required after the end of the head, which improves the working environment. No special requirements for front spinning equipment and temperature and humidity. Since eddy current spinning has no high-speed rotating parts, there is no problem of high-speed bearing lubrication, less wear and tear, low noise, and convenient maintenance. Production practice shows that there are also some limiting factors in the development of vortex spinning.
