According to the reporter's interview and the follow-up investigation conducted by China Textile Machinery Association, although the epidemic has brought adverse effects on textile machinery enterprises in production, marketing, supply chain organization and other aspects, most enterprises are still firmly confident and take responsibility to reduce the impact of the epidemic by technological innovation and improving manufacturing capacity.
More than 60% of enterprises return to work one after another
In recent years, all walks of life across the country have entered the stage of resumption of work. The government is promoting the orderly resumption of work in batches of enterprises that are conducive to epidemic prevention and control and meet the conditions. While strengthening the novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control, textile machinery enterprises began to resume production and rehabilitation in accordance with local prevention and control policies and their own conditions.
According to the start-up tracking conducted by China Textile Machinery Association for more than 260 key enterprises in the industry, as of February 17, 62.03% of enterprises had returned to work.

Based on the situation of the interviewed enterprises, the enterprises that have resumed production at present mainly focus on completing orders overseas and years ago. At present, the overall start-up of the whole textile machinery industry is limited by the review of local governments, the shortage of protective materials, the isolation of employees from other places, and the insufficient return of supporting enterprises. On the other hand, the main domestic downstream customers currently have limited start-up, and the orders have been reduced. In addition, the speed of domestic logistics delivery and distribution is still greatly affected.
Rising costs, fluctuating orders, testing the viability of enterprises
In view of the main problems faced by enterprises at present, according to the results of questionnaire statistics of China Textile Machinery Association, the epidemic situation continues to spread and employees are unable to return to work in the first two places, with the attention degree of 88.53% and 65.14% respectively, while the logistics problem and supply chain problem rank the third, with the concentration degree of 64.22%.
Because of the epidemic situation, the provinces and regions strictly control the flow of personnel, making it difficult for employees from other places to return to the factory, and even causing the loss of some personnel. After the enterprises go through the formalities of returning to work, the employees may not be able to return to the factory, especially the employees in the key epidemic areas. There is a great uncertainty in the time of returning to the factory. In addition, the employees need to be isolated for 14 days after returning to the factory, which also has a lot of impact on the production of the enterprises.
In addition, according to the relevant analysis: in the past two weeks, the wages of workers in the first-line industries have increased by 15% - 30%, and the difficulty of recruitment will also become a major obstacle for enterprises this year.
According to the reporter's interview, the fluctuation of orders, the variable price of raw materials, the rising cost and the tight cash flow caused by the default of orders are also the problems that enterprises are worried about at present.

According to the questionnaire survey of enterprises by China Textile Machinery Association, half of the enterprises participating in the survey had their orders saturated in the past three months. However, affected by the epidemic situation, most of the enterprises were in the state of stopping production and returning to work before February 10.
In addition to the impact of orders, Gong also worried that prices would rise under the impact of the epidemic, which would cause the cost of spare parts to rise. "I think there's a lot of uncertainty about orders received, follow-up orders, profit margin, etc."
Of course, many enterprises are also trying to alleviate the outbreak in their own way. According to the questionnaire, more than 56% of enterprises coordinate their operations through telecommuting, and half of them take the time that can't be put into production as an opportunity for enterprises to innovate their product technology and focus on building their core competitiveness. In addition, expanding online marketing means and actively applying for loans and subsidies also reflect the practices of about 40% of enterprises.
In the questionnaire, more than 88% of the enterprises put the primary task after returning to work on the fast organization of production capacity. In addition, there are two tasks that more than half of the enterprises involved in the survey focus on after returning to work: organizing supply chain resources and contacting upstream and downstream partners to better overcome difficulties.
Firm confidence, brave responsibility and actively overcome difficulties
In the case of weak market demand, the epidemic makes many enterprises feel "worse", but the expectation of textile machinery enterprises for the next six months or even the whole year is still rational. Among the surveyed enterprises, the proportion of enterprises whose business income in the first half of 2020 is 10% - 20% lower than that in 2019 is more than 31%, and the proportion of enterprises whose business income is expected to be 20% - 50% lower than that in 2019 is more than 25%.
In view of the more difficult operation situation, more than 69% of the enterprises will focus on new products in the future operation plan, in addition, about 64% of the enterprises will focus on automatic transformation, in order to improve the comprehensive competitiveness of the enterprises.
For the impact of the epidemic on the industry, although the industry enterprises can not be optimistic about the macro-economy and industry development in 2020, about 34% of the enterprises participating in the survey think it will be helpful for the industry to eliminate backward production capacity and accelerate the industry reshuffle. According to the survey, China's textile machinery enterprises have become more and more calm. We have taken technological innovation and manufacturing capacity improvement as an important means to reduce the impact of the epidemic.
