December 19, 2018 National Symposium on Production and Management of Textile Machinery Industry was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Wang Shutian, President of China Textile Machinery Association, Chief Engineer Zhu Xianmin, Vice President Gu Ping, Li Yi, Lu Honggang and more than 100 representatives of textile machinery enterprises from all over the country attended the meeting to jointly analyze the market situation and development trend and explore the future development direction.
Double-digit growth of revenue and total profit of main business
In 2017, the market sales of textile machinery were generally good, and sales of almost all product categories increased. According to Wang Shutian's analysis, the operation of textile machinery industry in 2017 embodies four main characteristics: first, the economy of the industry is running smoothly and growing, and both quantity and quality are improved. Secondly, the industrial restructuring has made remarkable progress. This progress is manifested in many aspects. For example, at the level of national policy support, many spinning machine intelligent manufacturing projects have received support and achieved results in pilot demonstrations in some key areas. The adjustment of spinning machine product structure has achieved results. The proportion of knitting machinery has increased, while the proportion of spinning machinery has continued to decline, and the product structure has become more reasonable. Focusing on energy saving, environmental protection and intellectualization, many new products have been developed. Thirdly, we should pay more attention to technological innovation and make breakthroughs in many technological fields. Among the recent awards of Textile Light Science and Technology, four textile machinery projects won the first prize. In addition, in product research and development, a stable mode of integration of industry, education and research has been established. Fourthly, the level of enterprise management and industry self-discipline should be improved.
Looking ahead to 2018, Wang Shutian believes that, although facing many favorable factors, 2018 will be a year full of changes. Facing the situation of high comprehensive production cost, developing intelligent manufacturing and improving production efficiency are still the development trend. In addition, according to customer demand and market changes, it is also important to open up the international market and promote the export of textile machinery.
This year, the market demand for chemical fibre machinery has increased significantly. Compared with the same period last year, the market sales of chemical fibre equipment have improved greatly. Lu Honggang predicts that with the downstream chemical fiber market warming up and the investment of domestic chemical fiber enterprises increasing, the chemical fiber machinery market will still maintain a good trend in 2018.
Similarly, the nonwovens industry is currently in the rising investment range, which also provides a huge growth space for the nonwovens machinery industry. Overall, in the first three quarters of this year, sales of needle-punching, Spunlaced and spunbonded production lines increased significantly year-on-year. In the first half of this year, most enterprises worked overtime to meet order demand. After entering the third quarter, the order growth slowed down slightly, and the production and operation of enterprises were divided.
International market development should not be neglected
With the stop of expansion of domestic textile industry, more and more attention has been paid to the large international market by textile machinery enterprises. Zhao Xiaogang, Deputy Secretary-General of China Textile Machinery Association, made an analysis of the importance of focusing on the international market. He pointed out that the importance of the international market was determined by the reduction of the increment of the domestic industry scale, the need for the release of textile machine capacity and industrial transfer, the change of the domestic market and the need of some textile producing countries to improve their own industrial chain in the international market. At the same time, it was also the need for the development and growth of domestic textile machinery enterprises themselves. He also analyzed overseas textile machinery exhibitions such as Jakarta International Textile and Clothing Machinery Exhibition 2017, Bangladesh International Textile and Clothing Machinery Exhibition 2017 and India International Textile Machinery Exhibition. He said that many enterprises are more confident in exploiting the local market by participating in the exhibition. He also reminded textile enterprises that Vietnam, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkey and other markets also deserve attention. It is hoped that the textile machinery enterprises will consider the global strategic layout as soon as possible on the basis of opening up the international market.
